METRODOME GAMES

  1. Free Parking entrance @ Gate off of 11th avenue. South East Corner of Stadium. @ 11th Ave & 5th street. It is easiest to be south bound on 11th Ave to take a right turn into Stadium parking lot.
  2. Player/ patron entrance is at Gate D.
  3. Game dates, times and parings will be listed on the OMGFA web site. Dates & pairings will be determined by like records & playoff results.
  4. Non-playoffs: 3rd then 4th grade on Monday.  5th the 6th grade on Tuesday.  Wednesday & Thursday will be for Playoff Finals.3rd Place game on Wednesday. 1st Place Games on Thursday 4th Grade is first game of night then 5th & 6th   
  5. First Place awards will be given to the winner of the 1st vs 2nd place game, 2nd place awards will be given to the loser of the 1st vs 2nd place game, 3rd Place awards will be given to the winner of the 3rd vs 4th Place games. Participation awards will be given to other teams.
  6. Football shoes may be worn on the new field turf. All players must be in full uniform (locker rooms not available).
  7. Roster information (team name, sponsor name (if any), player numbers and names, in number order and coach’s names) for the P.A. announcer shall be given to the Directors before your Dome Game Date for Pre -Game Introductions.
  8. Teams can bring coolers, pop, treats etc. A concession stand will also be open.
  9. A Still photographer for action Photo's of your player(s)will be on site. for Player Action Photo requests & Purchase
  10.  A Videographer will be present to purchase DVD's of your Game for $20.  Order forms will be available @ the Dome as well as on the OMGFA website to download & submit. 
  11. Teams may gather at end zone sidelines away from field and benches for pre-game warm-ups no sooner than 30 minutes prior to game time. Teams must be lined up and ready to play at the thirty yard lines in jersey number order 5 minutes prior to starting time. As they are announced they will run to the 50 yard line.
  12. Only players, coaches and down-marker volunteers will be allowed on the field. No exceptions. 
  13. Pictures may be taken on the field in the end-zone corners before or after the game by coaches only.
  14. Awards will be given to each head coach at the end of each game. Teams must move to end zone corners immediately after the game for a brief medal presentation.
  15. Home teams will be on the near sideline, away teams on the far sideline. Down-marker team shall be provided by the home team.
  16. Coin-toss: To be performed prior to game time by league official, team captains and head coaches.

RULES

Due to the limited time available for each game the following rules will be strictly enforced.

  1. 3th –6th Grade: 12 minute running time quarters (clock does not stop for touchdowns, penalties, injuries, 1st downs or extra points). Stop time last 2 minutes of each half. During stop time, the clock will stop for time outs, incomplete passes, touchdowns, extra points and out of bounds; clock will not stop for first downs or injuries ( reasonability in order )  Clock will resume on ensuing snap (non-punt or kick play) or when the ball is punted or kicked.
  2. Playoff Games on Wednesday-Thursday will be Regular season Clock Rules 12 min Modified
  3. 1 -1 minute time-outs per team during last 2 minutes of each half (time-outs not allowed during running time). First half time-outs do not carryover to the second half.
  4. Switch ends only at half time. 2-minute half time, 1-minute quarter breaks.
  5. Games ending in ties will stand except 1st and 2nd place games will be decided by 4 plays from 10 yds (plus extra points). If still tied season head to head score totals will be used.
